The Last of Us: Left Behind Review

Have you ever watched a movie? Yes of course you have. No game developing company has ever presented such a masterpiece ever before. The game “The last of us”  is a third person shooting game, with a very emotional and great surviving touch in the destroyed world of the living dead, where the living kills and hunts the living for survival, it is so grasping that you would think that you’re actually watching a movie. It’s the best I have ever played, it changed my gaming experience, when my friend bought a Play station 3, I told him to play any other games that are available, just don’t play “The last of us” right now, why? Because he wouldn't like any other game if he played it before them. Yes, no game in the world compares to it.

You will fall in love with the character’s, fall in love with the last of us world. It has won many game of the year awards (most of them), The “Naughty dog” should be proud of developing such a game and they are.  “The last of us left behind” is a Five GB expansion of the original game that came a while after the original masterpiece was launched, it doesn't continue the story but it takes us back. It takes us a while back to the story of Ellie and her friend Riley; best friends. Now, it continues from a place which was not shown in the previous game, when Joel (one of the main characters) is highly injured after a battle and Ellie barely drags him in the garage of an abandoned house; covering him up because of the cold.

The question all of us had in the previous game “What happened after she took him to the garage? How did she take care of him?” well, this game gives us the answer, when you’re watching a movie you need to know every detail, this game fills in the gaps of the previous game, at least some of them. Back in the previous game Ellie mentioned to Joule about her best friend and how she died,

"Back in Boston, back when I was bitten… I wasn't alone. My best friend was there, and she got bit too. We didn't know what to do. So she says, 'Let's just wait it out, y'know, we can be all poetic and just lose our minds together.'
I'm still waiting for my turn. Her name was Riley, and she was the first to die."

This game fills many of the gaps in the story but not all of them, it doesn't show us the twenty years of Joules life after he lost his only daughter “Sarah” when the disease spread. Ellie reminded Joule of his long lost daughter, she was hope for him, she was something that he could fight for, keep surviving for; she was more than just a cure. The cure was everything for the world but more than everything for one man. You have to play it, it’s worth every nanosecond.
